Acting for All (AFA) will introduce you to the tools and methods
that actors use in developing their characters. In a series of weekly
workshops, you'll be introduced to:
Improvisation - how to utilise it as both an art in itself, and with regards to written scripts.
Movement - Becoming aware of how your body works and how to change it relevant to a character.
Voice - How to use your voice effectively
Scene Study - Using short scenes from plays, you will look for clues in developing your character.
We will mainly be using existing scripts across different genres to learn how drama, storytelling and character-building works.
All of these topics will be taught by specialists in their field and at the end of the course you'll have the opportunity to showcase your work to an invited audience.
